Samsung Galaxy M30 Vs Realme 5 Pro Vs RedmiNote 7 Pro : Specifications, prices, Comparison

After the launch of the new Galaxy M30 by Samsung, competition in the affordable smartphone segment has become quite heated. With a price of less than Rs 15,000 for the base variant, the handset goes directly above the Realme 5 Pro and the Redmi Note 7 Pro. While all three devices offer similar specifications such as 48MP rear camera and powerful battery, they are also quite different from each other. So if you're trying to decide which one offers the most bang for your buck, we've got a detailed comparison for you.

Design and performance

All three phones are similar in their look. They come with several cameras and fingerprint scanners, which are placed on the surfaces behind them, while their fascia displays full screen. They ship with a USB Type-C port as well as a headphone socket. But what sets the Galaxy M30 apart from the others is the inclusion of a Super AMOLED display. Its 6.4-inch full HD + panel is vibrant colors and dark black, while also being battery efficient. The other two devices come with a 6.3-inch IPS LCD, which is quite good, but not as impressive as the visual experience given by Samsung's phones.

The Galaxy M30s comes with a triple-camera setup, while Realme 5 Pro has four cameras. As in the Redmi Note 7 Pro, it has only two cameras on its back. As mentioned above, the main cameras on all three phones are of 48MP resolution. The Galaxy M30s also features an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera in addition to a 5MP depth sensor, which can present live mockups. Realme 5 Pro also has an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, besides, some 2MP cameras are dedicated to macro shots and portrait effects. The secondary snapper of the Note 7 Pro is 5MP, which means portrait effects. For the front camera, the Galaxy M30s and Realme 5 Pro ship with 16MP cameras, while the Redmi device offers a 13MP selfie shooter.
While the Note 7 Pro lags behind the Samsung Galaxy M30 and Realme 5 Pro, their camera hardware is difficult to distinguish based on the latter two. And this is where software features come into play. The M30s comes with the company's Famous Night Mode, which adds illumination to images clicked in extremely dark conditions. A super stable mode is also included, along with super slow-motion mode and hyperlap mode.

For those craving long battery life, the Samsung Galaxy M30 is the best phone. There is a 6,000mAh cell inside it which is capable of giving two days of battery life easily. As per claims, it can last up to 131 hours on 29 hours of video playback, 49 hours of voice calls and one hour of music. This is quite surprising for phones in this price range. And it comes with 15W fast charge support.
On the other hand Realme, 5 Pro has adopted 4,035mAh battery, while Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with 4GB RAM cell. These phones also have a respectable battery backup but do not match the incredible battery life of the M30.

At the heart of Samsung's Galaxy M30s are the all-new Exynos 9611 chipsets. This powerful 10nm SoC features a 2.3GHz octa-core CPU and a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. This combination allows the phone to have super fast speeds and great handling of heavy applications and games. A game booster mode has also been added to its software to maximize performance while playing the game. RAM up to 6GB also contributes to the device's great performance.
For Realme 5 Pro, it is fueled by Snapdragon 712 chipset, while Redmi Note 7 Pro has Snapdragon 675 SoC. The former has 8GB of RAM available, and the latter has 6GB of RAM. Up to 128 GB of storage can be accessed on all three devices, and they come with a dedicated microSD card slot.

As you can see from the comparison, Samsung's Galaxy M30, Realme 5 Pro and Redmi Note 7 Pro all options are loaded in the sub-Rs 15k section. However, the Galaxy M30s supersedes the other two, all thanks to the inclusion of a class-leading 6,000mAh battery and Super AMOLED screen, which offers immersive visuals. Add it to powerful hardware and capable triple rear cameras, and the Samsung phone easily becomes the top choice in this price band. so what are you waiting for?
